If you appreciate historical spaces that have been revitalized to bring people together, Southern Market in Lancaster is a must-visit. The building itself is beautiful, but what really makes the space work is the absolute variety and quality of the food. It functions less like a standard food court and more like a true community hub where you can sit down, gather with family or neighbors, and get an authentic taste of world-class cooking. Two spots in particular are absolute standouts; Flavors of Morocco: This station is a masterclass in rich, aromatic cooking. Their homemade dishes offer a fantastic, savory blend of Moroccan tradition with excellent spice profiles. Nothing here is watered down; it is robust, deeply seasoned, and incredibly satisfying. Layali El Sham: If you want authentic Middle Eastern food made from the heart, don't pass this up. The chef here clearly know exactly what he is doing, unlocking great, zesty combinations of garlic, cumin, and coriander. The wraps and platters are fresh, packed with vibrant flavor, and serve as a reminder of how good, traditional cooking can bring people of all backgrounds together around one table. I love coming to this place!! There are so many food options to choose from. I love supporting local business and this place is packed with some of the best. When you walk in, there is a beautiful bar right in the middle surrounded with thoughtfully laid out tables and booths. You are surrounded by all the flavors of the world in one spot. Check out their social media pages, they always have weekly events happening. Great spot to gather with friends and the community.

Small mom pop stores, good variety of food from different areas. Our party had hawaiian, jamaican, middle eastern, pizza, chicken/fries, and pho. Food was pretty good, atmosphere was relaxed

We continue to fall in love with Lancaster, PA 😊The Southern Market is a vibe! It is like many of the food courts you find in local cities and then it’s not! It is the customer service that stands out. Each of the food stalls are unique and fabulous. The owners/employees are welcoming and excited about what they are serving. It is also like eating around the world 🌎. You Asian Fusion, Jamaican, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean and of course American. Chef’s Kiss. The centralized bar….. perfectly situated so that you can have a panoramic view of the stalls. The bar drink menu is robust enough to accommodate your palette. . It’s cozy and incorporates reminders of the past. Also…. You can host small events there, they offer event rooms and the restaurants can cater your event. I can’t wait to host an event for my clients soon! Will definitely be back😋

This place has a wonderful variety of food choices! My husband and I came here and decided to order from a few stands to try the different cuisines. The food was delicious and everyone was so friendly! Highly recommend, especially if you're interested in trying different types of cuisines.
